| The New York Beacon, formerly "Big Red News" was creared in 1976 by W E Underwood as a numerology sheet that rapidly grew into a weekly newsletter. It became a full fledged newspaper in 1978. It was purchased in 1982 by its present owner, and publisher, Walter Smith. Walter retired in 1999 and handed the administration and operation of the newspaper over to his wife Miatta Haj Smith. The New York Beacon is a weekly newspaper with a circulation of 45 thousand copies per week. Advertising rates are competitive and there are discount rates for multiple insertions. |
