An Independent Black Voice Rooted in New York, Speaking to America

Our Mission: Building a Strong, Independent Black Press for the United States

I founded New York Beacon with a clear conviction: Black communities in the United States deserve a newsroom that reflects their realities, documents their achievements, investigates the systems that shape their lives, and preserves their voice in the national conversation. Too often, stories that matter to us are filtered, minimized, or misunderstood. We exist to correct that imbalance.

Based in New York City, at the heart of one of the most influential media capitals in the world, New York Beacon operates as an independent platform committed to accountability, cultural depth, and factual reporting. We cover politics, business, culture, social justice, innovation, and community initiatives affecting African American and Black communities nationwide. Our editorial line is simple: rigorous journalism, unapologetically rooted in Black perspectives, without sensationalism or compromise.

The Team Behind the Beacon — Four Professionals Committed to Black Press USA

New York Beacon is built by a compact but focused team of four media professionals. Together, we operate with one guiding principle: to strengthen the legacy of Black Press USA by producing journalism that informs, empowers, and endures.
