According to Yahoo Entertainment, the post confirms Lena James’s return to the Hillman universe for the forthcoming reboot.

For readers needing a quick refresher, Pinkett Smith originally appeared on the NBC show from 1991 to 1993 as Lena James, a Baltimore native who joined Hillman as a freshman. Her character quickly endeared herself to fans with her sharp wit and a no-nonsense demeanor. Lena managed at the campus hangout The Pit and navigated numerous college dramas, including a memorable arc with her ex, Piccolo, portrayed by Pinkett Smith’s real-life friend Tupac Shakur.
