Mariah Carey’s appearance at the Gucci Cruise show last weekend instantly grabbed attention, but the glamour of her entrance drew eyes to more than just the dress she donned.
The 57-year-old star was among a celebrity-packed audience for the GucciCore presentation, staged in the heart of Times Square in New York City on May 16. She wore a Gucci look that paired a cream-colored coat with a black satin-buttoned long-sleeve top and matching black satin pants. Several buttons at the top were left undone, offering a hint of décolletage.

Carey’s trademark blonde tresses hung straight, and she completed the silhouette with black sunglasses, a black handbag, and black closed-toe stilettos. The look was accented with a sparkling touch — a diamond necklace and matching earrings.

Although the ensemble drew praise from many, one video from the night unsettled some fans. The footage shows her arriving to take her seat at the event, aided by assistants as they removed her coat. Once the coat slipped away, Carey sat down with a rigid posture. The clip briefly features her track “Here For It All” playing in the background.
