Jesse Watters Goes Off on Obama’s Legacy in a Fox News Rant, Revealing a Moment He Said Aloud

A resentful Fox News host, Jesse Watters, recently let loose in a furious tirade about former President Barack Obama’s new presidential library in Chicago, labeling it a “Klingon prison” as the opening date draws near later this month.

On his June 3 broadcast of Jesse Watters Primetime,” the staunch MAGA commentator unleashed a meandering diatribe against the Obama Presidential Center, ridiculing the project and spouting nonsensical remarks as he seemed to burn with envy over a modest arch rising on the campus.

“Egyptians had pyramids, the Athenians had the Parthenon, and the Romans had the Coliseum. Chicago, they have Obamaland,” Watters proclaimed, belittling the center’s 19-acre footprint in historic Jackson Park on the city’s South Side.

“It’s an $850 million windowless library that looks like a Klingon prison,” the MAGA host angrily asserted, invoking figures from the Star Trek universe. In reality, the hybrid library and museum—designed in a Brutalist style—does feature windows and an eight-floor viewing deck that offers sweeping vistas of the city and Lake Michigan.

A heated Watters even resorted to dropping Obama’s childhood nickname, referring to the former president as “Barry.”

“The architect Barack Hussein himself? People say he’s very, very hands-on in the design. Now Barry is giving himself an arch before opening day,” he continued, before veering into a riff about “historic arches all over Paris,” then attempting to curry favor with President Donald Trump.

“We’ve got the golden arches, McDonald’s, but that’s about to change. The Arc de Trump is coming to D.C. soon,” Watters boasted, revealing his true sentiment by suggesting the monument Trump hopes to erect in Washington to honor himself will “make Obama jealous.”

Lawsuits over the scale and placement of Trump’s homage have put the project in limbo for the foreseeable future.

Watters faced immediate backlash on social media, with many users pointing out the obvious.

“You know Obama is doing something right when they can’t stop naming his name,” @Cami d75 wrote on Instagram.
