Sean “Diddy” Combs is approaching the midpoint of his 50-month sentence after his 2025 conviction.
During the courtroom proceedings and on social media, all six of his offspring publicly backed him: Justin, 32; Christian, 28; the twins Jessie and D’Lila, 19; Chance, 19; and the youngest, Love, 3.
Now, following years of controversy that altered their father’s public image, his eldest daughters are drawing a clear separation between his past scandals and the path they want for themselves.
The twins Jessie and D’Lila are forging their own path by introducing a fashion line, 12TWINTY1, a brand chosen in homage to their December 21 birthday.
In a July 16 interview with Entertainment Tonight, the sisters spoke warmly of their father while talking about launching their own venture.
ET’s Nischelle Turner questioned the 19-year-olds about any fear they might have in stepping into the public eye.
“No,” D’Lila said. “Because he’s our dad – his press is his own press, our press is our own press. People fail to understand that we are also individuals it’s separate.”
Jessie added, “Also we’ve never like allowed any of that to stop us, we have to keep going and it’s honestly made us just push and work harder because you know we’re not going to stop.”
The sisters have kept a close bond with their dad, even as he has remained incarcerated since September 2024.

“We definitely are very close and he gives the best advice,” Jessie said. “Also as we said before, like clothing, he’s very, very knowledgeable in that aspect.”
The twins say Diddy is “focused on being a better person for his family,” as he continues fighting for an early release.
Both girls described their father as strict but said he was an “amazing dad” while they were growing up
“He’s a black dad. If you know you know. It’s not strict but it’s structure,” D’Lila explained.
Jessie, who agreed, added, “I’m honestly grateful for that because now we’re perfect.”
Turner pointed out that people may question the timing of the launch in light of their father’s controversial public image.
D’Lila responded, “We’ve wanted to have a clothing line for many many many years. Now is the time because we are becoming adults.”
The gender-neutral 12TWINTY1 brand debuted on July 7, with its inaugural collection, 777.
The twins describe their label as built around timeless essentials, inclusive sizing, and effortless style. The brand’s motto, “Made for the mirror. Ready for the world,” reflects the lifelong bond that has shaped both their personal and creative journeys.
