Serena Williams, a 23-time Grand Slam champion, is widely regarded as the greatest of all time in women’s singles tennis, and she also captured 14 major titles partnering with her sister Venus Williams in doubles.
In 2017 she tied the knot with Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit, and together they have two daughters: Olympia, eight, and Adira, two.
After collecting four Olympic gold medals and amassing 73 WTA singles titles, Williams stated she was gradually moving away from tennis after competing in the 2022 US Open.
Nevertheless, it seems her fans may have cause for celebration.
The 44-year-old icon is rumored to be staging a comeback at the 2026 Queen’s Club Championships in London, running from June 8 to June 21, according to the podcast, “Served with Andy Roddick.”
Roddick and veteran journalist L. Jon Wertheim indicated that Williams would return to play doubles alongside 19-year-old Canadian Victoria Mboko, and they sounded thrilled by the prospect.

Mboko, currently ranked No. 9 in women’s singles, faced questions about the rumor during a May 28 press conference at the 2026 French Open. Williams serves as her mentor, and the two often exchange messages, though Mboko offered little away from the topic, hinting that Williams might be returning to the sport.
“I’m really happy. Serena and I have kept in touch,” she stated. “That’s truly wonderful because I look up to her a lot. The fact that she knows me is incredibly exciting.”
“For me, I’d prefer to leave the moment in her hands,” she added when asked about a Williams return. “If she’s ready to come back on her own terms, it’s up to her to announce it. Beyond that, I don’t have much to say. The moment belongs to her, and whenever she’s prepared to return, it will be her decision.”
