With this album, Mai aims to pull listeners into her world, sharing why this particular project and its accompanying tour carry deep personal meaning for her.
“We’re basically going to bring that energy to life on the road, and I’m thrilled to step onto the stage to sing new songs and hear the crowd harmonize with me. And even if they don’t sing along, this new album matters so much to me that sharing it on stage will be incredible.”
That is the kind of artist energy that turns a concert into an experience you keep with you for years to come.
The album backing this entire trek is already proving its worth on the charts. In February, Do You Still Love Me? debuted at No. 44 on the Billboard 200. It climbed to No. 14 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums thanks to Adult R&B radio hits “Tell Her” and “Little Things.” With executive production by Mustard, the 14-track project stands as the official follow‑up to Mai’s sophomore record Heart of My Sleeve.
Mai shares her perspective on the broader trajectory of R&B today.
“It’s simply a wonderful moment for the genre, and it’s amazing to see it thrive even though it takes heat,” she said. “Nobody questions why today’s rock doesn’t sound like the 90s. Every other style is allowed to evolve and become distinct in its own time. There’s a genuine R&B resurgence happening right now. It’s always been there—you just might have to look a bit harder.”
This summer, Ella is poised to make it nearly impossible to look away.
