Katie Miller Joins Husband’s Viral Feud to Humiliate a Democratic Content Creator — It Backfires

May 30, 2026

Katie Miller, the wife of President Donald Trump’s ally Stephen Miller, leapt into a viral clash between the Democratic National Committee and Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff for policy and homeland security adviser, following a vicious social media post about Texas Democratic Senate hopeful James Talarico.

But Katie Miller didn’t simply target the DNC’s X account, which had first posted a message praising Talarico, she specifically singled out one individual on the team that runs the account, naming the DNC’s Content & Creative Director Paulina Mangubat, directing crude and misogynistic remarks toward her.

The dispute began on Tuesday, May 26, when the DNC posted a message of support for Talarico. The Texas state lawmaker appeared to have a real chance of flipping the long-held Republican Texas Senate seat after Trump endorsed the formerly indicted and impeached Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who defeated incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the GOP primary.

“Fired up. Ready to go. It’s time to take back Texas,” the Democratic group wrote above a photo of Talarico.

The following day, Stephen Miller replied with a nonsensical post claiming Texas Democrats had nominated “their first transgender senate candidate.” Talarico is not transgender, and the reason for Miller’s post remained unclear.

But the DNC quickly shot back a few hours later with a blunt, “shut up you ugly f-ck.”

While Miller’s post racked up more than 10 million views, the DNC response drew over 41 million impressions.

That’s when Katie Miller stepped in to defend her husband, attempting to call out Mangubat with a reply that spectacularly backfired.

“Paulina Mangubat is who runs @TheDemocrats account,” Miller wrote above a photo of the Democratic strategist.

“She’s 30, unmarried with no kids. Put your name on it next time,” she added before making an insulting remark about women that drew broader condemnation.

“This is what a sad, unhappy, female Liberal looks like. It’s why Pew reports 50 percent of them have been diagnosed with a mental condition,” Miller claimed in error.

There is no Pew Research Center study that says that.

The exchange intensified when Mangubat posted a photo of herself trying on a wedding dress with the caption, “Well, now seems like a good time to share that I’m getting married! We just put down the deposit on the venue and bought my dress lol.”

Social media exploded in response to Katie Miller’s remarks, with many ribbing her for the backlash her post triggered.

“Biggest backfire in recent political history. You go girl. What a star,” wrote one Threads user.

“Bro she did not hold back at all lmao,” another user agreed.

One commenter turned the feud into a fundraising angle for Mangubat, writing, “@thedemocrats please let us know if we can support a GoFundMe for Paulina for her upcoming wedding. I’d love that.”

Then on Thursday, May 28, Mangubat shared another photo of herself, this time smiling and holding a cake with a message addressed to her that read, “YOU RATIOED TEMU HITLER AND ALSO ARE HOT.”

Stephen Miller doubled down in additional posts, asserting that Talarico is “transitioning,” despite no evidence supporting such a claim.

Mangubat later appeared on the MeidasTouch network to respond again, reinforcing her original message.

“I want Katie Miller to know that her husband is an ugly f-ck,” the Democrat reiterated, but she wasn’t finished continuing to portray Stephen Miller, a White House official, as launching “absolutely false and transphobic attacks against an amazing candidate in Texas, James Talarico.”

“We simply called him ugly, and I think that what he has been doing is ugly. He is celebrating when ice shoots down Americans in the street. He thinks that it’s cool when families are separated, and it’s just absolutely disgusting, so I stand by calling him that,” she added.

Miller is the architect behind Trump’s harsh and punitive immigration crackdown, which NPR reports has resulted in almost 50 deaths of people taken into ICE custody.
