Needing a haircut could wipe out your entire paycheck. Nowadays, it seems barbers carry themselves like celebrities and demand around a thousand dollars for a cut that may only last about two weeks.
Comedian and Instagram influencer Druski posted a clip that pokes fun at the newer, trendier barbers who “do the most” when it comes to haircuts.

In the clip, Druski deftly mocks barbers as he opens at a client’s lavish residence, draping a Burberry cape over the shoulders and joking, “You know this crib nice. I’mma have to charge you extra for that.”
This opener skewers barbers who tack on travel-time fees. Ever been charged extra to have a barber come to your home or meet you somewhere else? They might even slap a flat fee in the hundreds by the hour.
In the next scene of the skit, Druski lounges in the barber chair while a new patron listens as he says, “Wassup man, you got an appointment? You gotta download my app and get an appointment online; I don’t do walk-ins.” He sits, seemingly without real clients, exuding an air of importance and boss-like authority even though his client list isn’t visibly sizable.

Druski maintains a laid-back persona as he transitions through the skit, implying that being a barber is the simplest job to pull off. He even goes so far as to claim, “Yeah, you know this is just a side hustle for me.”
He presses on by bragging about his clientele. “You know who I be cutting? YB, Wham, all them… I don’t tell people that, I don’t like to flex,” he declares, all while a video of NLE Choppa getting a haircut by someone else plays, with a voiceover added to make it seem like it’s him.
In the digital era, barbers expect top dollar but may not deliver top-tier service. While the skit is humorous, there’s a kernel of truth beneath: many barbers don’t actually have celebrity clientele but act as if they do, while others who do expect to be treated like celebrities in return.
Nowadays, a haircut from a well-known barber can range from $100 to well over $1,000. If the barber has a large Instagram following and a celebrity patron, the price can climb even higher.
