In recent years, actress Keke Palmer has been openly venturing into new expressions of her personal style and aesthetic.

She swapped her signature black hair for a warmer auburn shade and alternates between long, flowing tresses and a cropped pixie cut.

When it comes to fashion, her look swings from edgy to electric to refined chic. Yet every now and then, a standout piece can precipitate unforeseen snagging moments.

On April 1, the singer behind Hands Free sat down for the Decisions Decisions podcast and opened up about an awkward moment at an Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party, where Tiffany Haddish came to her rescue.

She set the scene for podcast hosts Weezy and Mandii B.

“So we were seated there, enjoying the food, watching the show, and the vibe was really nice,” Palmer recalled. “Lucky me, I got to sit right next to my girl Tiffany Haddish. I had Cody Simpson on my right. I hadn’t seen him since we were kids. I’m like, ‘hey, boo.’”

She continued, “And I don’t know what I did, but I moved in a way that wasn’t ideal. By the way, the top I wore is about 30 years old. It’s an old vintage piece. It has a back tear. There’s nothing underneath, not even nipple patches.”

The “One Of Them Days” actress was referring to a March soiree where she wore a vintage YSL by Tom Ford top. It was black and resembled a sculpted piece of art around a woman’s chest and midsection.

The back featured an opening secured by a belt. She styled it with black trousers and a black beret.
