Trump Erupts at Fox News, Accuses the Network of Sabotage as the Democrat He Targeted Reacts Like a Toddler

On Mother’s Day, former President Donald Trump spent part of the day venting at one of his preferred targets lately—Fox News—accusing the conservative network of aiding Democrats, undermining MAGA, and making it harder to win elections as his public frustration with slipping poll numbers and the looming midterms seems to be boiling over once again.

In a pair of furious Truth Social posts on Sunday morning, Trump attacked Fox host Jacqui Heinrich after she interviewed Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna on “The Sunday Briefing.”

Trump charged Heinrich with failing to press Khanna sufficiently and contended that the network’s messaging is “obliterated” whenever Democrats appear on air.

“You could tune into Fox News all day and soak it up completely, but then, when you hear scoundrels like Congressman Ro Khanna, ‘a wolf in sheep’s clothing,’ LIE, LIE, LIE, AND LIE AGAIN, without any pushback or a competent rebuttal from an anchor—in this case, Jacqui Heinrich—the entire Fox dialogue of common-sense conversation that has been taking place all day gets wiped out!” Trump wrote.

The president then intensified the tirade further.

“Why would Fox put scum like this on, or others, such as Low Rated Bill Maher, who gains ‘credibility’ by being repeatedly referred to as a liberal source of ‘wisdom,’ or very Low IQ Hakeem Jeffries, who calls the Supreme Court ‘illegitimate,’ and probably hates our country,” Trump continued.

“No matter how ‘Fair and Balanced’ Fox News may seem for the day, the final result is compromised by professional liars, conmen, and liberal, crooked politicians,” he added. “That’s why MAGA Republicans, who are essentially the entire party, dislike Fox, despite the many anchors and commentators who have made meaningful contributions. It makes winning elections extremely difficult like this!”

About 90 minutes earlier, Trump had posted another angry message targeting Khanna without first naming Heinrich directly.

“The Sleazebag, Radical Left Congressman from the failed state of California, Ro Khanna, should not be allowed on FoxNews unless you have an anchor capable of disputing his lies one after another and shutting down his FAKE (Bullshit!) narrative,” Trump wrote.

He then veered into a familiar defense of his economic record, insisting that Democrats were trying to steal credit for what he termed America’s manufacturing recovery.

“This morning he tried, on behalf of the Democrats, to claim credit for the steel industry’s return to the United States, well knowing that the Democrats nearly wrecked it, and I SAVED IT, through strong tariffs (PLUS!),” Trump wrote. “Our country was DEAD during the last administration, and now it is hotter than ever before.”

Trump closed the tirade with another warning about Democrats reclaiming power.

“We can’t allow the Democrats to take credit for this. If they are elected, they will completely destroy our thriving and now highly respected nation. I will NOT let that happen!!!”

Khanna’s initial comments during the Fox appearance had been comparatively measured. During the interview, the California Democrat said he was “horrified” to learn that Chinese steel had allegedly been used at the Port of Cleveland and argued the U.S. should prioritize domestic manufacturing through firms like Cleveland-Cliffs. He also urged Trump to pressure Chinese President Xi Jinping to halt investments in U.S. manufacturing operations.

Yet online, many critics quickly read Trump’s blowup as signaling something larger than a straightforward dispute over trade policy.

“Trump’s popularity is in the gutter. He’s desperate, and no matter what he has tried (RFK Files, Amelia Earhart Files, UFO Files) he cannot restore his appeal and is now lashing out,” one critic wrote. “Trump always turns on his supporters. It’s FOX NEWS turn. Suck it up, Fox. This is funny!”

Another user mocked the growing strain in Trump’s relationship with the network long seen as MAGA’s media sanctuary.

“@FoxNews it seems that the boot and the ass-kissing isn’t enough for your orange-pedophile boss…”

Others blasted the president for what they described as yet another public tantrum.

“He throws so many tantrums when he could simply demonstrate leadership and put Americans first. That’s too much to ask, though,” one commenter posted.

Khanna himself answered Trump’s attacks Sunday afternoon, portraying the backlash as evidence that Democrats need to reach voters across ideological lines rather than retreat from hostile media spaces.

“Trump’s second attack of the day on me,” Khanna wrote.

“This is why I go on Fox. This is why I discuss an economic plan to rebuild steel, ship, and battery plants in hollowed-out communities. This is why I speak to everyone, including Trump supporters, without throwing insults.”

“This is how Democrats will win and unite the country.”

Trump’s public feud with Fox has grown notably more intense in recent weeks. Just days earlier, he criticized the network for airing commentary praising comedian Bill Maher after Maher’s interview with California Governor Gavin Newsom on “Real Time.”
