Truth often proves more peculiar than fiction. That isn’t merely a cliché without bite; it has every sign of being proven right by the events surrounding President Donald Trump’s second term.
Most Americans have already heard Trump repeatedly claim, with increasing fatigue, that the 2020 presidential race was taken from him by force.
He has shouted this claim from the highest rooftops despite investigations, audits, and court rulings that consistently affirm President Joe Biden won the election fairly and legitimately.

Today even a newly launched website from Trump on Tuesday awkwardly but accurately states that Trump did lose the 2020 election.
The new AI-driven America.gov is marketed as a tool to streamline and assist Americans in locating information dispersed across government websites.
‘Actually Admitted It’: Trump Seemingly Confesses to the One Thing He Has Been Holding Onto, Handing the Internet a Brutal New Way to Roast Him
When asked, “Who won the 2020 election and who lost?” the AI agent surprisingly responds with the correct answer.
“Joseph R. Biden Jr. won the 2020 U.S. presidential election. Donald J. Trump lost,” it states. It also lists the correct Electoral College totals, citing the National Archives as the source.
“Biden: 306 electoral votes, Trump: 232 electoral votes, 270 needed to win.”
Then it adds, “The Federal Election Commission’s official results list Biden as receiving 81,268,924 popular votes (about 51.31%).”
Social media erupted in amusement at the irony of Trump launching “a fact checker” aimed at his own party.
Comments ranged from “I love this” to “LMAO I can’t wait for Trump to call his own AI fake news.”
X user The Chronic Vet noted, “Trump so damn stupid he literally launched a fact checker against his own party.”
Others agreed, “This is hilarious!”
One person quipped, “Follow up asking it whether Trump took steps to try to overturn the 2020 election results?”
The answer to that follow-up again directs users to the fact that Biden won the election.
“I provide government services and official information, not political commentary,” the America.gov chatbot replied.
It added, “Official 2020 results are on the National Archives Electoral College page and in the FEC’s certified totals: Joseph R. Biden Jr. received 306 electoral votes; Donald J. Trump received 232.”
Even more embarrassing, Trump rolled out the site as former special counsel Jack Smith delivered blunt testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Smith testified that he stood by his decision to prosecute Trump on the grounds that he “engaged in serious crimes.” He also defended his team, saying they “developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt,” according to CNN.
“Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in serious crimes against our nation,” Smith told the senators.
“If asked whether to prosecute a former president today based on the same facts, I would do so regardless of whether that president was a Republican or a Democrat,” he continued.
“The charges against President Trump were the result of the evidence. Grand juries in two separate districts reached this conclusion based on his actions as alleged in the indictments they returned,” Smith stated.
“Rather than accept his defeat in the 2020 presidential election, President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results and prevent the lawful transfer of power,” the attorney declared.
Despite “proof” and “evidence,” Smith dropped the federal criminal charges against Trump after he won the 2024 presidential election. He did it to comply with a Department of Justice policy banning the prosecution of a sitting president.
